What do Educators do?

In Home Care educators provide education and care for children in their family’s home.

They are self-employed professionals who support families that work nonstandard hours, are geographically isolated or have challenging or complex family needs.

Requirements for a NSWIHC Educator:

  • At least a certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or willing to enrol. Teaching degrees and higher early childhood education qualifications and similar equivalents may be acceptable.
  • Current certificates for the following, or willing to attain: First Aid, CPR, Working with Vulnerable People/Working with Children Check, Police Check and Public Liability Insurance.
